Named one of the ”10 most influential women in the world” by the University of Southern California`s Panhellenic Council, psychologist Irene Kassorla earned the moniker ”shrink to the stars” from Merv Griffin for the high percentage of celebrities among her clientele.

Kassorla has spread her positive approach worldwide through radio and television. She`s the author of three books and appears on KABC-TV in Los Angeles. Married to Norman Friedman, a computer scientist, she`s writing a book on her first patient in London-a story that`s been bought for a movie.

She spoke with Chicago free-lance writer Marion Flanagan from her Los Angeles home about her practice and what`s important to a happy life.
